Assistant Professor in International Relations

The Department of Political Science at Colorado College is hiring for an Assistant Professor in International Relations. We are open to areas of expertise, but particularly welcome expertise in issues of global health, human rights, the global south, and/or development, or work which considers global and transnational issues through the lenses of class, gender, and/or race. Crucial to the position is the potential for excellence in scholarship as well as a commitment to providing students with a liberal education.

Colorado College has a distinctive academic program, the Block Plan, in which professors teach, and students take, one course at a time. Each block is three and a half weeks long, with an academic year of eight and a half blocks. The average teaching load is five blocks per year, with an addition block overseeing senior research. Faculty can apply for a limited number of release blocks, as well as various sources of funding, to pursue research.
